💝 Bookish Holiday Gift Guide
Well, obviously, books make the best gifts, but what else might the readers and writers in your life enjoy? We compiled some fun ideas, so you can get your holiday shopping done early.*
Sleep-Protecting Reading Light: I use this clip-on blue light blocking light every night. I love this model because it’s rechargeable, has a bendable neck, and three brightness settings. It’s great for kids, too. Although, beware of the “one more chapter” trap!
Laptop Stands: Save the neck of a writer you love. Laptop stands lift the screen to eye level and prevent so much strain on the body. I like the sleek design of the Curve SE, but I also have a Roost, which is adjustable and folds up for travel.
Creamy Keyboards: If you give a writer a laptop stand, they’re gonna ask for a keyboard. I use the Apple magic keyboard and mouse, but I know several writers who are obsessed with the creamy feel and sound of their mechanical keyboards. Author, Susan Lee, designs some gorgeous custom keyboards inspired by book covers! Maybe I might want one.
Pens and Pencils: If you have a longhand writer in your life, how about some inspirational or irreverent tools of the trade.
Library-themed Gear: Goodness knows libraries need some rep. I love these library card socks, Little Libraries tote bag, this chivorus sweatshirt, or a donation to Friends of the Library.
Anything by Jane Mount over at the Ideal Bookshelf. I adore her mugs, art prints, pins, and totes. If you get a custom piece, please, oh please, share it with us.
Book Rests: I received a book rest for my birthday a year ago. They are made from solid wood and are a thing of beauty for the bedside table. This one can hold paper novels and ebook readers.
Cozy Book Clothing: Stay warm and be bookish with these hats, sweatshirts, and slippers.
BOOKS! Give all the gift cards. Libro.fm for audiobooks. Bookshop.org for the paper stuff. And Book of the Month for book mail to delight your loved one all year long.
